Spotlight on Beauty-Water Falls/ Hanakapiai Falls

Water Falls Spotlight on Beauty!

Hanakapi'ai Falls isn't a waterfall most visitors will ever see. Found in Hanakapi'ai Valley on the Na Pali coast, it is worth the vigorous hike to its 410 foot sparkling shower against the back wall of the Kalalau Valley, a true wilderness paradise.. Be sure to chose a day when it hasn't rained for awhile, as you will cross the stream more than once, and its best if the water level is down. Its a must to bring your cameras and notice native plant life as well as bamboo forests surrounding you!

The trail crisscrosses the stream, so be mindful of water flow. Make sure to pack rain gear because showers pop up frequently and carry drinking water since ithe stream water is considered not potable..

You will not see the entire falls from within the valley so you may wish to travel by helicopter especially if your schedule is tight and fitness is a consideration..  Hanakapi'ai Falls may be above 1600 foot in height and you will enjoy 410 feet of the falls from the ground.
The hike is one hour and a half at a slow pace..which give ample time for photos and viewing the vegetation wilderness.  If you travel by water to the Kalalau valley the falls are another two miles.
